Dyker Heights is once again the epicenter of electrifying Christmas magic — enough to knock your stockings off!

Every holiday season, just after Thanksgiving, the Brooklyn neighborhood — which stretches from 11th to 13th avenues and from 83rd Street to 86th Street — is transformed into a winter wonderland.

Throngs of all ages flock to the nabe like wise men to Bethlehem to gaze at life-sized Santas, sleds and snowmen — as well as aliens in sports cars; humongous toy soldiers; and mountainous milk and cookies left for Father Christmas.

Subtlety is sidelined. From lawns to rooftops, every inch of property is covered with illuminated choirboys, angels, wreaths and snowflakes.

The New Orleans Saints (5-10), behind five field goals by Charlie Smyth, defeated the New York Jets (3-12) 29-6 at Caesars Superdome.

New Orleans won its third consecutive game while the Jets lost their third in a row and fourth out of their last five games.

Saints rookie quarterback Tyler Shough carved up the Jets defense finishing 32 for 49 with 308 yards and a touchdown pass. 

Sunday marked Chris Harris‘ first game as Jets interim defensive coordinator. Following Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence scoring six touchdowns last week, the Jets defense couldn’t get much worse. 

In the second start of his career, Jets QB Brady Cook failed to show much growth from last week’s game. Cook was sacked eight times due to his lack of pocket presence. 

The Jets rushing attack struggled to get going. Breece Hall finished with 54 rushing yards on the ground and the Jets averaged just 3.2 yards rushing.

The Jets will play their final game at MetLife Stadium this season next weekend when they host the New England Patriots.

In one of the ugliest games of the 2025 NFL season, the (7-8) Minnesota Vikings defeated the (2-13) New York Giants 16-13. The loss was New York’s ninth straight and enhanced their chances of getting the number one overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

The two teams had a combined 22 accepted penalties, and the lone offensive touchdown scored all afternoon was a J.J. McCarthy 12-yard run in the second quarter.

To put in perspective how bad this season has been for the Giants, they’ve fired more coaches this year (Brian Daboll, Shane Bowen, and Brian Cox) than they have wins.

The offense was disastrous on Sunday as they were only able to muster 141 yards. But they still could have come away with a victory if Abdul Carter hadn’t lined up offside on a Jevon Holland 96-yard interception return for a touchdown. But as they say, bad teams will find ways to lose.
