Watch Boxing’s ‘Haney vs Garcia’ at Hoops Cabaret and Sports Bar, Saturday Night, April 20

NEW YORK — Hoops Cabaret in New York City (48 West 33rd Street), featuring dozens of sexy Hoops exotic dancers, and hailed as “the world’s sexiest sports bar,” will show the highly-anticipated matchup of WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney defending his WBC title against Ryan Garcia on Saturday, April 20.

Devin Haney and Ryan Garcia are two of the youngest stars in boxing, and Haney is unquestionably one of the best pound-for-pound fighters. At just 25 years old, he’s already captured the undisputed lightweight championship and successfully defended his 135-pound supremacy with a thrilling victory over Vasiliy Lomachenko last May.

Since beating Oscar Duarte in December, Garcia has been calling out Haney and he now has got his wish. But who will emerge victorious when the pair meet?

At Hoops Cabaret, fans can view the exciting bout on the club’s giant Mega-Tron Video Wall and numerous HD TVs and flat screens, giving every seat a clear view of all the action.

Hoops girl Anna said, “It’s going to be a great fight, and the after-party here with so many sexy dancers is going to be off the hook. And the bartenders and waitresses are gorgeous too! Come make it rain. Don’t miss it!”

Hoops Cabaret combines the  fun of a sports bar with the excitement of a gentlemen’s club. Sports and beautiful girls, it’s a win, win. And be sure to check out the club’s VIP Man Cave.

The Yankees Off To A 10-2 Start, Matching Their Best In Franchise History

He was not exactly facing Murderers’ Row, but the opponent has often not mattered for Carlos Rodon as a Yankee.

On Tuesday, it was the Marlins in front of him, and Rodon mowed them down for one of his best starts in pinstripes.

Rodon took a shutout into the seventh inning before running into some trouble (only part of which was his own doing), but it was enough to send the Yankees to a 3-2 win over the Marlins in The Bronx.

“A step in the right direction today,” Rodon said after giving up a pair of unearned runs over six-plus innings with six strikeouts. “Just keep going. The confidence is growing, for sure.”

The Yankees are now off to a 10-2 start, matching their best in franchise history through 12 decisions after also doing it in 1922, 1949 and 2003 — three seasons that each ended in a trip to the World Series.

Building off of Nestor Cortes’ eight shutout innings against the Marlins (1-11) on Monday night, Rodon completed six scoreless innings for the first time as a Yankee (in his 17th start with the team).

UConn Wins Back-to-Back Championships With Dominant Win Over Purdue

The Huskies defeated the Purdue Boilermakers, 75-60, during the March Madness Tournament Final at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. Senior guard Tristen Newton led UConn with a team-best 20 points and seven assists, while also recording five rebounds, earning the award for Most Outstanding Player for the Final Four for the second consecutive year.

Four of the Huskies’ starters scored in double figures, with guard Stephon Castle scoring 15 points, center Donovan Clingan recording 11 and guard Cam Spencer scoring 11 points, while also recording a team-best eight rebounds. Purdue senior Zach Edey, the two-time reigning National College Player of the Year, recorded a game-high 37 points and 10 rebounds.

Last year, head coach Dan Hurley became the third coach to lead the Huskies to a national championship, following Jim Calhoun (1999, 2004, 2011) and Kevin Ollie (2014). UConn is now tied with North Carolina with six national titles, trailing only UCLA (11) and Kentucky (8).
