Dodgers, Yankees Run Away With MLB Ticket Revenue Race

The Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees are the clear 2025 World Series favorites—Dodgers +240, Yankees +550 at BetMGM.

The Dodgers are the sport’s top gate receipt producer—just ahead of the Yankees at the box office.

Last year, the Dodgers generated $4.29 million in ticket revenue per regular-season home game. It was just ahead of the $4.11 million by the Yankees, who typically landed on top because of their high prices.

The per-game averages were well ahead of any other clubs, with the Chicago Cubs ($3.25 million), Red Sox ($2.93 million) and Houston Astros ($2.69 million) rounding out the top five. Teams at the bottom end of baseball generate around $500,000 per game, highlighting the revenue disparity in the sport.

For the season, the Dodgers and Yankees were the only two teams to top $300 million from ticketing, including premium seating, and they both added to the tallies with their World Series runs.

Knicks Season Ends With 125-108 Loss to Pacers

It’s the Indiana Pacers against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals.

The Pacers finished off the New York Knicks on Saturday, winning 125-108 in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals after a third-quarter rally. It will be their first NBA Finals appearance since 2000, back when Reggie Miller and Jalen Rose starred while Larry Bird coached.

The Pacers players entered Gainbridge Fieldhouse decked out in all black, a shot at the Knicks doing the same last year, and fulfilled their promise of a funeral. They shot lights out, going 17-of-33 (51.5%) from 3-point range, and punished nearly all of the Knicks’ mistakes, with 34 points off 17 turnovers.

The Indiana offense was once again a beautiful machine, continuing a postseason in which they’ve outraced the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and now the Knicks.

Haliey Welch Wants to ‘Uncover the Truth’ After Failed Crypto Launch

At the end of a whirlwind year that saw her transform from a viral star to a business mogul, Haliey Welch, also known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” is facing backlash for promoting a memecoin that crashed.

Welch announced that $HAWK had gone live. About two weeks later, her investors, who lost a combined $151,000, filed a lawsuit against the memecoin’s sellers, alleging that they unlawfully sold securities that hadn’t been registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Welch posted a statement on X saying she is “committed to assisting the legal team representing individuals impacted.”

Welch had her breakout moment in June, when she was approached on the street by content creator DeArius Marlow to name “one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time.”

“You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang,” Welch replied. It became a viral phrase shared millions of times over the following weeks.
