Comedian Tom Green Gets Reality TV Show

Comedian and actor Tom Green is angling for a return to the small screen with three new projects for Prime Video – including a reality series about his life on a farm.

The shows are among seven new Canadian projects commissioned by the streamer, which also ordered two true crime series, a northern survival show and a docu-series about a woman who lost her memory.

The Pembroke, Ont.-born Green, known for his sketch comedy in the 1990s “The Tom Green Show,” will produce, direct and star in all three of his Prime Video ventures.

New York Yankees Over Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox kept opening the door for the Yankees, who refused to walk through it. Clearly they were just waiting for the drama to peak before they finally made their move.

After Clay Holmes recorded the final two outs of the top of the 10th, Juan Soto delivered a walk-off single in the bottom of the inning to lift the Yankees to a 2-1 win over the Red Sox on Thursday night in The Bronx.

Leading off the inning against Red Sox reliever Josh Winckowski, Soto  shot a line drive up the middle, past the dive of shortstop Trevor Story, scoring pinch-runner Jon Berti from second to give the Yankees their second straight extra-inning, walk-off win.

With the Orioles idle, the Yankees (85-62) extended their lead atop the AL East to two games with 15 games remaining.

“With the Orioles behind us, we’re trying to get as much distance as possible and win as many games as possible,” said Nestor Cortes, who delivered five innings of one-run ball in his return to the rotation.

Aaron Rodgers, Jets Fall Short in 32-19 Loss to 49ers

In the New York Jets’ 2024 season opener, on a beautiful clear, warm evening in Santa Clara, California, the Jets lost to the San Francisco 49ers, 32 – 19. The game was not as close as the score might indicate.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers was back. And the New York Jets, one year later, provided a few glimpses of resembling the contender that they always believed they’d be with the four-time league MVP in their lineup.

But resembling a competent team here and there is not nearly enough against the defending NFC champs. The San Francisco 49ers began their latest bid to make a championship run by beating Rodgers and the Jets convincingly in the first Monday night game of the NFL season.

With the loss the Jets open the season at 0-1. Next week the Jets look  to even up their record as they remain on the road to take on the 0-1 Tennessee Titans.
