Honda Recalls 500,000 Accords, Odysseys Over Seat Belt Problem

Honda is recalling a half-million vehicles in the US and Canada because the front seat belts may not latch properly.

The recall covers some of the the automaker’s top-selling models including the 2017 through 2020 CR-V, the 2018 and 2019 Accord, the 2018 through 2020 Odyssey and the 2019 Insight. Also included is the Acura RDX from the 2019 and 2020 model years.

Honda says that the surface coating on the channel for the buckle can deteriorate over time. The release button can shrink against the channel at lower temperatures, increasing friction and stopping the buckle from latching.

If the buckle doesn’t latch, a driver or passenger may not be restrained in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Aaron Rodgers Tosses 4 Touchdowns Against Jets in Tremendous Steelers Debut

There’s a lot of time left in the 2025 NFL season, but the Pittsburgh Steelers’ decision to sign Aaron Rodgers might just pay off. Rodgers led the Steelers to a touchdown on his first drive with the team, ending  a drought that dated to 2023.

That momentum carried through to the rest of the contest, as Rodgers threw four touchdowns in a fantastic 34-32 win in his Steelers debut against the New York Jets on Sunday.

The Steelers trailed most of the way before scoring two touchdowns in less than a minute early in the fourth quarter. The Jets briefly re-gained the lead before an 11-yard completion from Rodgers to DK Metcalf helped set up Chris Boswell’s game-winning field goal.

Rodgers finished the game with 244 yards on 22 of 30 passing. In a nice effort, Jets QB Fields threw for 218 yards and a touchdown against his former team. He also ran for two touchdowns on the ground.

Giants’ Offense Underwhelms in Season-Opening Loss to Commanders

Russell Wilson was handed the Giants’ starting quarterback job this summer, but he might not keep it long into the fall.

Wilson and the Giants’ offense struggled today in a season-opening 21-6 loss to the Commanders.

Giants first-round draft pick Jaxson Dart is currently Wilson’s backup, but Dart looked good enough in the preseason that many fans will want him to start, especially after Wilson could generate only two field goals today.

Wilson averaged just 4.5 yards per pass and a 45.9 percent completion rate, completing 17 of 37 passes for 168 yards. He was the Giants’ leading rusher with 44 yards on eight carries. The Giants need more passing and less rushing from Wilson.

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels went 19-for-30 for 233 yards with a touchdown, and running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt had a strong debut with 10 carries for 82 yards and a touchdown. Deebo Samuel was the Commanders’ leading receiver with seven catches for 77 yards.
