Rams Tackle Aaron Donald Retires

Los Angeles Rams All-Pro defensive tackle Aaron Donald announced his retirement after 10 NFL seasons.

Donald, 32, widely regarded as one of the greatest defensive tackles in NFL history, spent his entire career with the Rams, having been selected by the franchise at No. 13 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft prior to its relocation from St. Louis to Los Angeles and Super Bowl LVI victory in 2022.

“For 10 years, I have been fortunate to play the game of football at the highest level. I’m thankful for the people I’ve met along the way, the relationships I’ve built and the things I’ve accomplished with my teammates and individually,” Donald said.

Donald is a three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year (2017, 2018, 2020), which is tied with Lawrence Taylor and J.J. Watt for the most in league history; a member of the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team; and was selected to the Pro Bowl during each of his 10 NFL seasons and as a first-team All-Pro during eight seasons, only excluding his rookie year and an injury-shortened 2022 campaign.

UFC 303 at Hoops Cabaret and Sports Bar in New York City, Saturday, June 29

NEW YORK — You are invited to Hoops Cabaret New York, the city’s sexiest sports bar, to watch UFC 303, featuring Alex Pereira vs. Jiri Prochazka leading the fight card, on Saturday night, June 29.

The fan-favorite Hoops Cabaret is a great place to watch sporting events, with multiple giant screens, Hi-Def TVs, and its futuristic Mega-Tron Video Wall. Every seat has a clear view of the action.

Last week, the UFC broke the news that an injury had forced former  two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor out of his scheduled UFC 303 bout opposite Michael Chandler. With the long anticipated matchup between McGregor and Chandler off the upcoming pay-per-view card, the UFC scrambled for a replacement fight.

The promotion found that matchup in two of the more exciting fighters on the roster, current UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and former 205-pound titleholder Jiri Prochazka.

Pereira and Prochazka first faced each other at UFC 295 in November 2023. Pereira claimed the vacant light heavyweight title on that night, when he scored a second-round TKO victory over the former champion.

Since that victory, Pereira has one title defense to his name, an April first-round knockout triumph over another former UFC champion, Jamahal Hill. As for Prochazka, he defeated Aleksandar Rakic on that same card, UFC 300, via a second round TKO. Prochazka is the No. 1 fighter in the official UFC light heavyweight rankings.

Hoops Cabaret combines the fun of a sports bar with the excitement of a gentlemen’s club. “We love the UFC,” said Hoops girl Sabrina. “And we also love performing on stage and up close and personal for you. Hoops is like a sports fan’s dream come to life!”
